We had a great evening tasting younger wines and their older counterparts to discover the influence that ageing can have (and that a screw cap can be better than a cork!).

Yuri’s top tip: always buy three bottles, then try them at different times! Of course this is easily done with a Coravin, but don’t let lack of one stop you taste testing whether your wine is too young, just right or past its peak. As for decanting, feel free to do this with young wines, but take care with old ones as you want to leave the sediment in the bottle, in addition old wine might oxidate too quickly if decanted!.
